About Me

I received my teaching degree at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I have learned so many different tools throughout my schooling from preparing lesson plans to including how to incorporate technology within a classroom. When it comes to me being a teacher, I agree mostly with the Progressivism approach to teaching. Some people believe going straight from the book is the best way to learn, however, I think the opposite. The material needed from the book is important but it is good to have a balance between the two. Maybe sometimes reading from the book and other times doing an activity to have the students involved with one another and getting different ideas.Teaching is one of the most challenging and beneficial careers a person could choose to have. Throughout my teaching career I want to be known as the teacher who is there because it is what I love to do not because it is what I have to do. Being a teacher is a hard job that sometimes you don’t get the most respect for; however, seeing the students learn and succeed within their education is the best compensation I could ask for.
